The only food and beverage trade show in Africa bringing hundreds of global suppliers and buyers together.

Africa’s Big 7 takes place from 23-25 June 2019 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

The annual meeting place for food professionals across the continent, Africa’s Big 7 brings hundreds of suppliers and buyers together to source, meet and gain insight into the latest developments affecting the industry. Opening during Africa Trade Week from 23-25 June 2019, it takes place together with The Hotel Show Africa, SAITEX Africa, and FoodNext.Africa. The programme is chock full of global chef competitions, hospitality talent, and an impressive schedule of educational training content, exciting features and demonstrations.

Since its launch in 2001, Africa’s Big 7 has become the continent’s most important annual meeting place for the food and drink industry. It connects thousands of pan-African visitors with local and international suppliers, from CEOs and F&B Managers to food science technologists to executive chefs, bakers and government officials.

Live Features:

Café Culture offers free barista and drinkspro training throughout the full three days of the show. Visitors can develop their skills and knowledge in two of the hottest beverage trends; coffee and liquor. Topics explored include coffee business models, mixology training, and learning how to train and manage others. The Global Pizza Challenge will be at Africa’s Big 7 once again.

Here, passionate independent pizza chefs demonstrate their gastronomic masterpieces first- hand. The competition celebrated its 10th birthday in 2018 and the South African winner, Ernest Mandle, walked away with a trophy, R15 000 Rand in cash, and took his place competing in the international final at the end of the year.
