The Maslow Sandton celebrates moms’ cooking from around the world for Mothers Day.
Moms will take their rightful place at the heads of their tables and be treated like the queens they are at a special Mother’s Day luncheon to be staged at The Maslow Sandton on Sunday, 12 May 2019.
Surrounded by their loved ones in a vibrant setting, they will be presented with a sumptuous buffet that acknowledges mothers who are the lifeblood of homes and communities across the globe.
The tastes and flavours of Italy, Europe, Mexico and India characterize the buffet, offering guests the chance to sample a moms’ cooking from around the world.
The culinary team has done their homework to ensure the authenticity of dishes like:
- Mexican tacos and chimichangas;
- Indian butter chicken and vegetable daal gosht;
- English-styled rosemary roast beef and
- Italian potato gnocchi.
The extensive buffet culminates with a selection of decadent desserts such as:
- Mama’s trifle;
- homemade apple crumble;
- red velvet doughnuts,
- green tea and lime tart, and
- warm chocolate pudding with pistachio nuts and crème anglaise.
The Mother’s Day luncheon will be staged in the hotel’s airy Lacuna Bistro. The ample, beautifully-appointed interior flows seamlessly out onto the open patio where guests are greeted by refreshing views of the hotel’s tranquil oasis garden.
