François Ferreira Academy: Our new culinary rock star and stunning new space

The François Ferreira Academy is a trusted and accredited chef academy and hospitality training institute based in George, Western Cape, South Africa.

Under the experienced and dynamic leadership of Chef François Ferreira, we are growing and taking our Academy to the next level of excellence in 2022.  A stunning new facility and the addition of a new campus manager set the scene for the next act in this success story.

Our Academy has recently moved to a new facility on the iconic Farm 208, R102 Airport Road in George.  Surrounded by the Outeniqua mountains, the picturesque setting inspires our staff and learners to new creative heights.

We’ve also welcomed Catherine Eybers to the team as our new Campus Manager.  Catherine is a qualified chef and alumnus of the Francois Ferreira Academy.

This culinary rock star has extensive experience in just about every aspect of the hospitality and culinary field, including the FMCG field as communication and brand manager as well as in the field of entertainment where she was the culinary head of department for 5 seasons of, among others, Kyknet productions, like Kokkedoor, Koekedoor and Kokkedoortjie.  Catherine has also been a business partner and restaurant owner in Barrydale and Food & Beverage manager consultant for The Karoo Art Hotel.  Her last stint was as culinary producer for M-Net hit series ‘My Kitchen Rules South Africa’ for 3 seasons.

At the François Ferreira Academy our accredited courses, practical applications, workplace exposure and experience in the industry, provide a solid foundation for our learners to learn, explore, practice, and excel in their culinary career.
