The TOKIT Omni Cook C2 is redefining modern kitchens, and Chef Brendon, sous chef at The Pot Luck Club Johannesburg, is showing how this smart cooking appliance empowers both culinary professionals and content creators.
Designed to simplify modern cooking without compromising quality, the TOKIT Omni Cook C2 seamlessly combines multiple functions into a single smart appliance, replacing more than 21 traditional kitchen tools.
Offering everything from chopping, blending and steaming to kneading, sous vide, slow cooking and precision temperature control, and enhanced by guided cooking technology, AI-assisted functionality and intuitive controls, TOKIT provides chefs with an efficient, versatile solution that saves time while unlocking greater creativity in the kitchen.
Chef Brendon’s culinary journey – from training in Italy and gaining experience in Mexican cuisine, French cooking and Asian fusion, to working under acclaimed chef Luke Dale Roberts at The Pot Luck Club Johannesburg – reflects a career defined by continuous learning, innovation and creative exploration, making him the ideal chef to showcase the multifunctional capabilities of TOKIT.
And his appetite for learning extends well beyond the restaurant kitchen.
Alongside his professional role, Chef Brendon co-founded Bite Society TV, a content platform launched with a lifelong friend who shares his passion for storytelling through food and visuals. What began as an idea to create food content quickly evolved into a bigger vision: a platform for emerging food creatives.
“We realised there are so many talented food creators who aren’t really being seen yet,” he explains. “Bite Society became a way to showcase not only what we can do, but what other people can do as well.”
The platform explores new recipes, techniques and kitchen tools, making it an ideal showcase for the innovative culinary technology of the TOKIT Omni Cook C2.
After being introduced through mutual networks, Swiss Diversitas, the team that brought TOKIT to South Africa, recognised the type of food content Brendon was creating and saw an opportunity for collaboration.
Today, TOKIT plays an active role in both his professional and creative kitchens. The appliance is currently being used at The Pot Luck Club Johannesburg for mise en place and kitchen preparation, while Brendon and the Bite Society team regularly feature it in content shoots at home.
One feature that stands out for Chef Brendon is the TOKIT Omni Cook C2’s 2.2-litre stainless steel jug.
“The guys at Pot Luck love that the jug is bigger,” he explains. “When doing bulk prep, they’re able to get more done quicker and more efficiently.”

For a chef constantly balancing restaurant service, menu preparation and content creation, time-saving tools matter. Another favourite is the slicer function, which features interchangeable discs to let you switch effortlessly between thick/thin slicing and grating.
This has proven particularly useful when producing his content for Bite Society TV.
“When you’re creating videos, you don’t want to spend unnecessary time cutting and slicing. It just makes things faster. For our health bowl, we were actually so impressed with how it came out, the colours, everything just looked really fresh.”
But convenience alone is not what makes TOKIT valuable. For Chef Brendon, the appliance also offers an opportunity to experiment. Whether steaming ingredients differently, testing recipes or finding new ways to simplify techniques, TOKIT has become part of the creative process for both recipe development and content creation.
“Everything is trial and error,” he says. “We’re always willing to try and see what result we get.”
On Bite Society TV, TOKIT’s versatility takes centre stage, with Chef Brendon creating everything from nourishing dishes like his Salmon Rice Bowl to indulgent desserts such as chocolate fondant, all using the TOKIT Omni Cook C2.

The chocolate fondant, in particular, surprised him.
“That was one of probably my favourites because I do have a sweet tooth. I had my reservations at first, but I was really happy with how it turned out.”
Chef Brendon says the appeal also lies in the simplicity and efficiency of the smart kitchen tool. “The biggest thing for me is ease of use,” he says. “You can get anybody to use the product because it’s so simple.
“For someone who’s never used the TOKIT before, I think they would definitely enjoy the AI function,” he says. “It’s a nice touch for people who are still learning.”
Rather than seeing technology as a threat, Chef Brendon believes the culinary industry should embrace it. “To be honest, it probably will replace some hands in kitchens eventually,” he says. “But chefs have to adapt. It’s not something created to disadvantage us, it’s there to help you get the best out.”
For Chef Brendon, TOKIT is ultimately about possibility, making cooking faster, easier and more creative, whether in a professional kitchen or at home.
Through Bite Society TV and his work at The Pot Luck Club Johannesburg, he continues to demonstrate how the TOKIT Omni Cook C2 can elevate both fine dining and food content creation.
Chef Brendon’s message is clear: the future kitchen belongs to chefs and technology working side by side, with TOKIT leading the way.
