The very first InfoChef in Limpopo took place on 25 July 2019, hosted by Chef Tommie Hurter and his SA Chefs Limpopo Committee team at Limpopo Chefs Academy Polokwane Campus.
An event created for chefs, hospitality establishments, hospitality high school and tertiary students, industry suppliers, SA Chefs (the professional body) and members of the public to meet, network and be entertained.
Guests were treated to live Demos, industry chats and front row seats to 3 exciting competitions (a first for Limpopo). Exhibitors from the Industry displayed products and presented samples to all who attended.
Chef Sphola from Skeem Saam got the crowds rearing to go with his energy and great prize giveaways. Chef Pieter Malan plated one of his signature dishes live on stage.

Info Chef Limpopo launched the very first Limpopo Senior Chef of the Year, Limpopo Junior Chef of the Year and Limpopo BakeryCo Champion competitions. Congratulations to all the entrants selected as finalists for the competitions. The winners in each category were:
- Limpopo Senior Chef of the Year 2019: Thapelo Letsogo – winning prize of R10 000.00
- Limpopo Junior Chef of the Year 2019: Tebogo Rapulana – winning price of R5 000.00
- Limpopo Bakery Co. Dripcake Champion 2019: Caroline Moratlatli – winning price of R5 000.00
The event was a huge success, a big thank you to all who attend and we look forward to bigger and better things for Info Chef Limpopo 2020.
