For the past decade, La Mouette has developed a reputation for serving finely prepared French-inspired cuisine with seasonal South African influences. The talented team at La Mouette have worked closely over the last few weeks with culinary advisor Chef Neill Anthony in developing a delicious new Special 5-Course tasting menu.
There’s an art to every one of Chef Neill’s tasting menus. From the first bite to the final morsel, each course has been designed to take you on a culinary adventure. In keeping with the season of spring, every ingredient has been carefully sourced to give you the very best tastes of spring so that you can enjoy the freshest flavours in the most exquisite combinations.
La Mouette restaurant is housed in an original feature Tudor house, once the home of the local Mayor. It has two floors, four dining rooms, six fireplaces, a bar/lounge area as well as a cobblestone courtyard outside – perfect for cosy winter dining by the fire or summer dining al fresco under the stars.
The Clarendon holds a rich history having once been owned by the Earl of Clarendon, the Governor of The Cape. Being a heritage building, this family-run boutique hotel boasts 16 luxurious bedrooms and was established in 1996 by the present owner. Cradled along the slopes of Lions Head, in the idyllic suburb of Fresnaye, it caters to families, honeymooners and the exclusive traveller who wants to enjoy the best of Cape Town.
