The award-winning SA Cheese Festival returns after two years and cheese and wine lovers can look forward to a brand-new experience. 

A series of four SA Cheese Festival Pop-up Picnics will take place over four weekends in April 2022 at four popular destinations – from the Winelands to Walker Bay to the West Coast and back to the Winelands.

At every SA Cheese Festival Pop-up Picnic, a variety of exhibitors will offer everything you need for a picnic adventure, from picnic baskets to local, international, and artisanal cheeses, selected wine, craft beer and gin, as well as exceptional artisanal foods and local products. Visitors can also look forward to free entertainment programmes with top South African artists, tasting demonstrations and other interesting activities. 

The SA Cheese Festival Pop-up Picnics kick off on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April 2022 at Warwick Wine Estate outside Stellenbosch. Next, all roads lead to Benguela Cove Lagoon wine estate outside Hermanus on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 April 2022. Then, it is time to discover the West Coast route to Groote Post outside Darling on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April 2022. To end off April and to start the new month of May, a rediscovery awaits at Sandringham outside Stellenbosch on Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May 2022. 

Tickets cost R350 per person per day with visiting times from 10:00 to 18:00. Tickets are available at Webtickets () as well as at Pick n Pay stores. No tickets will be sold at the gates. Only a limited number of tickets are available at each venue and strict Covid-19 protocols will apply.
