Warning: Trying to access array offset on false in /home/sachejbk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/elementor-pro/modules/dynamic-tags/tags/post-featured-image.php on line 39

With all the culinary talent and exquisite creations that came our way last month, it’s safe to say that choosing winners for the September challenge was no easy task…We would like to congratulate Cindy Linford and Kurhula Makhuvele – the two winners who will be heading to the finals where four chosen finalists will be competing for the ultimate prize of R25 000 cash and a fantastic R55 000 voucher from the prestigious FBI Chef School & Patisserie Academy. Plus, the runner up will also walk away with R10 000.

Haven’t entered yet? You can still take part in the second challenge! The next theme is all about dessert –we challenge you to create an out of this world dessert inspired by shape (from scratch). 10 submissions will then be shortlisted and baked/cooked as per the recipe you provide and another 2 finalists will be chosen to compete in the grand finale with previous month’s winners.

Entry Requirements

The challenge requires an original recipe that belongs to you.
When documenting the entry, the following needs to be shared through picture or video:

  • Preparation stage
  • Process stage
  • Final product/dish stage
  • All videos/pictures need to be clearly visible to enable adequate judging

An Important Reminder For Future Entries

Please ensure that you provide an example of a flavour profile when submitting your entry to the group. In essence, a flavour profile describes flavour in 4 major components:

  • Character notes or attributes
  • Intensities of those attributes
  • The order of appearance of the attributes
  • The aftertaste

October Challenge

  • Submit a full recipe with ingredients and methodology to allow the judges to make the recipe for selection of finalists.
  • Criteria – originality, creativity, overall presentation, utilization of Snowflake flour as a hero product, taste & texture and level of difficulty. Recipes without Snowflake products will be disqualified.

How To Enter

  • Through an exclusive, private and moderated Facebook group called Snowflake Ultimate Creations (open only to professionals)
  • On this group, we will communicate the entry mechanic, Ts & Cs, and prizing
  • You will then be required to submit your entry in this Facebook group
  • Winners will be drawn and announced via Snowflake social media and SA Chef Media platforms
