A Private Big 5 Game Reserve is looking for a HEAD CHEF to join their team.
This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences in a tranquil, bushveld setting. The individual will be responsible for menu development, food preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene. The position requires a chef who understands the importance of sustainable and local sourcing, and who can adapt to the rhythms of life in a game reserve.
Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 Monthly Basic Salary (Market related, Negotiable)
Candidate Requirements:
- Relevant culinary qualification
- Previous experience in a Head Chef or similar senior role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management, including inventory, budgeting, and team leadership
- Creativity in menu development and presentation
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
