Pple Hospitality, part of the Pple Group, has announced the departure of Business Developer and co-founder Stephen Hickmore.
Pple Hospitality, part of the Pple Group, has announced the departure of Business Developer and co-founder Stephen Hickmore, he is leaving to take up a new role as Director and Part-owner of the Swiss Hotel School South Africa in January 2022, having been associated with the school and serving on its academic board for the past ten years.
“To concentrate fully on the role, I have to say farewell to Pple Hospitality (formerly Hospitality Solutions Company or HSC), a company that I co-founded 17 years ago. It has been a joy to be part of the journey as they continue to thrive,” he said of the changes.
Chantel Bellora, Director of the Hospitality and Healthcare divisions at Pple, continues in her role, building on ten years of working closely with Hickmore and growing the divisions in terms of reach and capability. Director of Business Development Jaco Esterhuizen heads up business development activities for all four divisions, including Industrial and Hygiene, with the company offering full-service workforce solutions to its growing portfolio of loyal clientele.
Bellora says, “We are proud of our heritage and where we are headed, as a solutions provider of professional, trained and trusted people to industries in the four divisions in which we currently specialise. Our extensive industry expertise, strategic client relationships and tailor-made solutions allow us to provide meaningful and rewarding employment to our staff. This will continue to grow in the coming year, as we reposition ourselves to continuously evolve to better meet the needs of our clients and staff.”
Pple Group CEO Phillip Meyer commented on the changes saying “We will always continue our relationship with Stephen, albeit in a different capacity. I have very fond memories of the days we started HSC and built a business from the ground up to become the market leader in its segment. We are proud of what Stephen has achieved and can only wish him well in his new role as the head of the Swiss Hotel School South Africa.”
